Seattle — The tall, heavy, wooden, painted-blue wall that has blocked the public’s view of the $124 million underground animal research lab on the University of Washington campus being constructed, was removed today and replaced with a wire fence. According to spokesman Tina Mankowski, director of UW Medicine/Health Sciences News and Community Relations, the exterior of the building is mostly completed and landscaping projects will begin.
